Letter: IRS Closure Doesn’t Add Up

On page A6 of Thursday’s paper, an article stated that due to the IRS rent reduction program the Cd’A taxpayer assistance office will close this Friday at 4:30 and will remain closed so if assistance is needed you can now visit the IRS office in Spokane. Seems rather ironic that at this same time, the IRS is giving bonuses of $70 million to its employees for jobs well done. Is this another example of the inmates running the asylum?/ Larry Carstensen , Post Falls, Coeur d’Alene Press letter to the editor.

Question: Is the letter right correct, that the inmates are taking over the asylum at the IRS? Or is he comparing apples & oranges?
