Sisyphus (re: ): It’s cumulative (re: image problems in Coeur d’Alene area). People say: “Isn’t that the place where 1) the old man lives who hit the black kid on the plane, 2) they had a KKK snowman with a noose, 3) the school trustee made an racist Obama joke, 4) they’re building a right wing armed fortress 5) they protested Mexican restaurants for being Mexican restaurants?” But it’s not like the press is staking the place out looking for this stuff. It just keeps happening.

Question: Sisyphus brings up a good point re: cumulative effect of all the strange events that happen in the Coeur d’Alene, topped by the former presence of the Aryan Nations compound. But doesn’t recent passage of the antidiscrimination ordinance and the 1987 Wallenberg Award levels things out a little?
