Obama vacation costly

In The Spokesman-Review’s June 27 article on President Obama’s trip to Africa, it failed to mention that it is also a weeklong family vacation at a cost of $60 million to $100 million to American taxpayers.

During this time of sequestration, with cuts to so many things, including no White House tours, wouldn’t you think this would have been taken into consideration, especially since during spring break no kids could take a tour of the White House, including those who had made specific plans during that time to do so?
