Cops: Mother Abetted CdA Runaway
A joint investigation of Coeur d’Alene police and the FBI revealed that a 14-year-old runaway ended up in
Southern California. The runaway girl, Jaidyn Deann Bendocchi, of Coeur d’Alene, allegedly got the help of a teenage boy’s mother to travel to California, police said Wednesday.
Bendocchi was located by the FBI about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Bakersfield, Calif. Initially, it was believed Bendocchi was possibly in the company of a 27-year-old man due to his name being associated with the residence in which she was found. After further investigation, FBI agents in California confirmed that a 45-year-old woman had been in contact with Jaidyn by cell phone prior to her running away. The woman, who police haven’t named because she hasn’t been charged with a crime, is the mother of a 15-year-old old boy that Bendocchi met over the Internet/
