Bonus Elderberries — 25 Years Ago
From my March 7, 1988, Huckleberries column:
Art Manley (pictured in SR file photo) didn’t miss a beat when state parks official John Barnes asked the Fourt-County Natural Resource Committee for ideas in routing a north-south centennial trail through Idaho: “We already have a trail from the north to the south,” deadpanned Manley. “It’s Highway 95, the goal trail. You just need to kick the traffic off.”
Question: Let’s have a show of hands for those who appreciate the contributions of former legislator Art Manley to the environment of North Idaho.
