Risch, Labrador No On Violence Act

Idaho’s Republican representatives in the U.S. House split their votes Thursday as the House passed an expanded version of the Violence Against Women Act. Rep. Mike Simpson voted “aye,” joining 86 other Republicans and 199 Democrats to pass the measure, while Rep. Raul Labrador voted “no,” along with 137 other Republicans in a losing effort. On the U.S. Senate side, Sen. Mike Crapo—one of the measure’s lead GOP sponsors—voted “aye” while Sen. Jim Risch voted “no.” The bill will now head to President Barack Obama’s desk for his signature/ George Prentice , Boise Weekly. More here.

  • Jimmy Farris Facebook post: ” VERY disappointed to see that Labrador and Risch voted NO on the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act. REALLY?! They should be ashamed of themselves. Hopefully women in Idaho will remember this when these guys are up for reelection.”

Question: Which Idaho tag team do you support on this vote: Risch & Labrador? Or Crapo & Simpson?
