Poll: Put Laurie Thomas On List

• Weekend Poll: Overwhelmingly, Hucks Nation wants Assistant Treasurer Laurie Thomas’ name on the list of three nominations sent by Kootenai County Republicans to the County Commissioners to fill the vacancy created when Treasurer Tom Malzahn retires. Rumor has it that the uber-cons on the Central Committee are trying to influence others to send in a list without Thomas name on it, forcing commissioners to possibly pick an ideologue over the most qualified person for the job (and Malzahn’s personal choice for successor). 133 of 159 respondents (83.65%) want Thomas’s name on the list. only 15 of 159 (9.43%) don’t. 11 (7%) were undecided.
