Elderberries: Hooking For A Living
On March 7, 1988, I wrote this Huckleberry for my column:
John Bentley wasn’t ashamed to admit to Kootenai Environmental Alliance colleagues that he put himself through college working summers as a hooker. It was hard work, says John, and the pay wasn’t that good. But, the GTE lineman says, he was happy just to have the part-time work — on the timber crew.
