Rare Ed Consensus Bill Goes To Guv
A rare consensus bill to revive a piece of the voter-rejected “Students Come First” laws – a measure backed by both the Idaho Education Association and the Idaho School Boards Association to reinstate a requirement that teacher negotiations be conducted in open meetings – has won final legislative passage. The House approved SB 1098 on a unanimous, 61-0 vote; it now heads to the governor’s desk/Betsy Russell, Eye on Boise.
