(re:
70 degrees to bless Depot Day
): Wallace, like the whole Silver Valley, simply knows how to throw a party. It doesn’t matter if it is Gyro Days, Depot Days or ‘Those Were the Days’, Wallace gets it. No matter what you are planning for Saturday, do yourself a big favor. Load up the bikes in the morning and stop at the Cataldo exit. Check out the Mission if you want, then bike to the Snake Pit and back (along the Coeur d’Alene River, you’ll see eagles nesting and fish jumping) on the Trail of the Coeur d’Alene’s. Then, continue on to Wallace for Depot Days. You’ll see some of the coolest cars around, from all over the Northwest. Then, on the way back, stop at Kingston and have a beverage at Croakers. You’ll meet the friendliest people on earth. Finally, go south at the Rose Lake junction (exit 34) for one mile on Highway 3 and take a right on Watson Road. The vistas from Watson’s Resort on Rose Lake will simply make you say “Wow”. Believe me, do all of this, like we will, and you’ll thank me for it. :)
