RRepub Director Stays Nonpartisan
In a roundup of Kootenai Hospital Board candidates by the Jeff Selle/Coeur d’Alene Press, candidate Jim Pierce makes the following statement:
im Pierce is no stranger to partisan politics, but he also knows when to set that aside. “This race is about qualifications, not ideology,” Pierce explained. He is running for a trustee’s position on the Kootenai Health board. “If I were running for state senator, that would be different, but this is a non-partisan race.” Pierce said he has made a conscious choice to keep his campaign non-partisan. “On the first draft of my campaign literature they printed ‘Republican,’ and I made them take it off,” he added.
The significance. Jim is a member of the Kootenai County Reagan Republicans Board of Directors. I appreciate that he decided to stay true to the nonpartisanship of this race rather than follow the Reagan Republicans leaders. You can read the rest of Jim’s profile and all the profiles of other hospital candidates here.
Question: I must confess that I’ve never voted in a Kootenai Hospital Board race. But I will this time. Do you have a good enough feel for the candidates to vote in this race?
