Rumorama — Brannon For Mayor?

OK, Larry Spencer has weighed in on a rumor that I heard before lunch — that Jim Brannon may be considering a run for Coeur d’Alene mayor. Here’s Larry: “I just heard that Doug Balija agreed to be the treasurer for Jim Brannon for mayor. Should be an interesting year in Oliveraland.” (Oliverialand should include the final, silent ‘I’.) If the rumor is true, Spencer’s right. It will be an interesting year in the cyberland of Huckleberries. The Reagan Republicans would mount the ramparts to back Brannon. The story lines would abound. It would also mean that the Reasonable Republicans and supporters of the Bloem administration would be active in fielding their own candidate. In other words, the three-ring circus that has been performing during the Coeur d’Alene School Board election would extend into the fall. Stay tuned.
