Ward Targets Community ‘Elites’

Jeff Ward, founder of the Kootenai County Reagan Republicans, conjures the image of “Downton Abbey” as he compares the have nots (i.e., the dominant, local Republican Party) to the haves (opponents):

Certain entrenched elites in this community have decided they can no longer tolerate we great unwashed masses crashing their party.  To stop us, this self appointed aristocracy has formed a political action committee called Balance North Idaho.  Their PAC slogan is simple, “Qualifications over Ideology.”   In Orwellian “newspeak” this simply means “Titles over Principles” — they do not want you to know how they will govern but they believe they should rule because their candidates have more letters in front of and behind their names.   They have held positions in the right clubs.  Their qualifications mean they think they are better than us, not judged by the “content of their character” but by the bluster of their resumes.

Question: Is that “qualifications over ideology” is gettiing under Cousin Jeff’s skin?
