• Jolie announces double mastectomy

Jennifer Locke: I was watching the news last night with my father in law and they talked about this. With the gene she has a 87% chance of developing breast cancer and a 50% chance of developing ovarian cancer. By doing the mastectomy she reduced the chances down to 5% for breast cancer. She will probably later have her ovaries remove too. I am glad she went public with this for other women who might have to face this. I didn’t really know much about this gene before last night.
