Officials, neighbors and anyone with an interest in public space is being asked to dust off an old idea, and start brainstorming — again. No longer reserved for the corner area on Northwest Boulevard next to the Coeur d’Alene Chamber, City Park, Kootenai County administrative building and the Museum of North Idaho, the site has expanded to include a 29-acre stretch thanks to the federal Bureau of Land Management agreeing to lease abandoned railroad line to the city.
