‘Grease’ review disappointing

I was very disappointed in the May 19 review by Nathan Weinbender of the Civic Theater’s “Grease.” My husband and I were part of a full-house viewing at the opening of one of my favorite-ever movies.

His review seemed to be a review of the history of “Grease” versus a review of the play that we saw. We were very impressed with the quality of acting, singing and overall presentation of the show.

I saw the Broadway production many years ago and was incredibly disappointed, partly due to missing songs that are such an integral part of the musical that the Civic Theater made sure were a part of their production.

We (and I feel the audience in general) were very pleased with the local talent used in all phases of this production. I encourage others to attend this musical.
