Election Central …

Let’s use this thread to discuss what we’re seeing at the polls and on the streets today. Above, children of Sara Meyer & another young mother hold signs supporting their candidates in today’s Coeur d’Alene City Council election. Duane’s working on getting Huckleberries photos of the Souza/Fillios sign wavers at I-90/NW Blvd.

  • 10:18 a.m. Dan of the Community: “Number 48 a few minutes ago at Woodland Middle School, precinct 38.”
  • 10:08 a.m. Sara Meyer: ” I’ve heard voter turn out is pretty high so far. I was 21 at 8:50 and people were lined up behind me. I vote at precinct 58.”
  • 9:31 a.m. Sara Meyer, with babe & toddler, and one other young mother with small child are waving signs for the Balance North Idaho ticket at H95/Ironwood.
  • 8:47 a.m. Post Falls council candidate Jim Hail: “Voting at lunchtime, then waving signs after 4PM.”
  • 8:31 a.m. About 10 Souza and Fillios supporters at Northwest Boulevard/I-90 on his morning commute. Nary a sign of any other candidate signs. (Got this third hand.). Duane was out to shoot photos of Souza supporters at H95/Appleway, but didn’t find any.
