Post Falls Predictions …

JBelle asks if there are any predictions re: Post Falls races. I don’t know a lot about Post Falls politics. But I do know that Post Falls in the home of the Reagan Republican leadership troika — the Jeffs Squared and Ron Lahr. They are backing Kerri Thoreson for mayor and Barry Rubin for one of the council seats. The old-time power structure (Coeur d’Alenese for Downtown Entrenched Elite Powerstructure), led by Mayor Clay Larkin) backs Ron Jacobson. Kerri has more name recognition. Jacobson, by a flip of a coin? I’d pick Rubin third of third in his race. Seems his main strong point is going to the council to complain about things. I like both Jim Hail and Alan Wolfe. Rubin could be hard to beat in a three-way race. But I’d guess Wolfe. Betty Ann Henderson should win the other seat that has challengers. Name recognition. Jayson Cornwell would be the one I voted for. Ten more minutes and you’ll see how spot on or dumb my predictions are.
