Idaho’s Madison WAC Player of the Week
Idaho small forward Stephen Madison was named WAC Player of the Week on Monday after he kicked off his senior season with a 21 points, a career-best 14 rebounds and five assists in a 67-63 win over Western Illinois. Madison also won the weekly WAC honor from College Sports Madness.
“Steve played great the other night with 21 points and 14 rebounds in 35 minutes,” Idaho coach Don Verlin said. “He shot the ball extremely well and played with a lot of energy on both ends of the court. I couldn’t be happier for the way he started his senior year. That’s a great start for him.”
