Starbuck88: Cut Goedde Some Slack
Starbuck88:
The sour taste (for Senate Education Chairman John Goedde) is understandable. The Luna Laws were not supported
because it wasn’t good for Idaho education. However, the landscape since Luna Laws has changed. Parts of the state are swinging back to moderate. Republicans like Goedde, Malek, & Morse are taking heat from their own ranks for supporting things like the exchange or common core. Fringe right are forcing strange bedfellows over common core (Luna, Goedde and teachers agreeing on core standards vs. Regan, IFF and folks like Thayn). The RRs aren’t winning and they are splintered into many factions. Luna Laws weren’t that long ago but a lot has changed since. I won’t forget Luna Laws but I’m ready to move on.
Question: How do we replace hardliners like Rep. Kathy Sims in District 4 and Sen. Bob Nonini in District 3, within the context of a closed Republican primary?
