How Gun Exemption Came To Be
There’s been a good deal of commentary about why Idaho exempts more than 3,000 elected officials from the rigors of the state’s concealed weapons license process. The flap was prompted by last week’s news that Rep. Mark Patterson, R-Boise, can continue to carry despite having his license revoked for failing to disclose his 1974 guilty plea for assault with intent to commit rape.
