J.R. Roland and Troy Hoener of Greenwood Memorial Terrace place plywood to protect the grass from a fork lift and the 3000 pound weight of the Liberty Bell replica near the site of the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Vietnam Wall, Wednesday, in Spokane, Wash. The Wall is also a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. and contains the names of 58,195 who died in the Vietnam conflict. Crews will set up the Wall on Thursday morning and will be open 24 hours a day to the public, with free shuttle services from noon-6pm Thursday and from 9-6 Friday and Saturday from the Life Center Church, 1202 N. Government Way, and on Sunday 9-4pm from Palisades Christian Academy. The bell is just one of three replicas cast in the same pit. The bell will ring every day at 1pm after the reading of names from the wall of the fallen from Spokane.(SR photo: Dan Pelle)
