Man Held In Post Falls Slaying

The male suspect in custody for Monday’s apparent homicide in Post Falls told a family member that he had injured his girlfriend, police say. “The family member was concerned and called us,” Post Falls police Chief Scot Haug said. “When we responded we found her dead in the apartment. His comments to his relatives is what led us to go there.” The incident occurred in the Treaty Rock Apartments next to Perfection Tire in the area of Compton and Seltice Way. As of this morning, police have not released the suspect’s name or the victim’s age. “There’s a lot of trauma to the body,” Haug said, declining to comment on specifics.
