Disclosure: Souza Has Raised $29K

Mary Souza leads in the Coeur d’Alene mayoral fundraising race, and Amy Evans is the top fundraiser so far among City Council contestants. All finance reports are through Sept. 30. Souza’s campaign disclosure reports, filed by Thursday’s 5 p.m. deadline, show she already has raised $29,223.20. Her closest opponent, Steve Widmyer , raised $14,822.47, and Joe Kunka, the third challenger for mayor , raised $1,930 - and most of that was in-kind contributions. … She had 17 supporters who donated $1,000 each: $6,000 from six members of the Damiano family, and $4,000 from Brent Regan and three of his family members. … Her major expenditures include $6,085.82 to the Strategery Group, a political consulting group run by Ron Lahr and Jeff Ward. Lahr and Ward founded the Kootenai County Reagan Republicans, which endorsed Souza/ Jeff Selle , Coeur d’Alene Press. More here.
