Mary Targets Steve’s Hagadone Work

In her latest newsletter, Mary Souza questions targets opponent Steve Widmyer’s business background, as financial manager for the Coeur d’Alene Resort for 16 years:

There were several interesting comments made at the Forum.  One was when my opponent Mr. Widmyer was touting his resume and said, “I have worked for an organization of 650 people, so I have the organizational experience to know where to put the people in the right places.”  Does working for a big organization make you qualified to lead one?  Steve Widmyer was the finance person for the CdA Resort for 16 years.  He was in charge of tracking the money, not managing or leading the people. Question: Do you think a former financial manager for the Coeur d’Alene Resort, which has 650 or so employees, has the background to run Coeur d’Alene as mayor?
