Weekend Wild Card — 10.12-13.2013

The day of the big reveal is here. From 2 to 6 p.m., city officials and LCDC representatives will be showcasing the emerging new & improved McEuen Field. The public is welcome to check out the outdoor courts, ha-huge children’s play area, splash pad, dog park, picked/tennis courts (and that’s just the part by the Coeur d’Alene Library. I suspect the underground parking garage will be open for inspection, too. I don’t know how much of the side closest to the Coeur d’Alene Resort will be open for public view. But you’ll see, as I did earlier this week, that the new McEuen is a very big area, chock full of special features, public art and contoured outdoor gathering places. I might see you there.
