And Now A Word From The PACs
Three political action committees are active in the fall Coeur d’Alene mayor and City Council elections — Balance North Idaho, ReclaimCDA and Coeur d’Alene Firefighters. The 30-day, pre-election financial disclosure statements show that the Coeur d’Alene Firefighters PAC has raised the most money of these three groups so far: $4,000. The firefighters have made one contribution — $1,000 to Amy Evans’ council candidacy. You can see that report here. Reclaim Coeur d’Alene, which backs the ticket headed by mayoral candidate Mary Souza, has raised $3,140, including $1,700 from members of the Sims family: Kathy, $900; Darrell, $600; and Rita, $200. Report here. Balance North Idaho, which supports a ticket headed by mayoral candidate Steve Widmyer, has raised $1235 and spent $198. Report here. Disclosure statement filed by Reagan Republicans Victory Fund shows no fund-raising or expenditures.
