JohnA: Is Mary In Panic Mode?

JohnA (RE: Steve: Mary, there you go again ): Boy, Mary’s camp must be desperate if they’re resorting to this already. They must have known they faced an uphill battle anyway, when a candidate of Steve’s stature took a shot at being mayor, and now they must know it’s come to everything they could have feared: a qualified person with the resources and energy to be a great mayor. The only way Mary will win is if the typical CDA apathy reigns supreme once again and Steve’s supporters fail to show up at the polls. For my part, I’m calling every eligible voter that I know in Coeur d’Alene, including dozens who have not routinely voted in past years, to make sure they show up on election day. Most will need to register at the polling place before they can vote, but that’s OK as long as they show up and vote.

Question: Frankly, I believe Mary started the fall campaign running slightly ahead in a three-way race. She had name recognition and her lists of perpetually disgruntled voters. Steve has cut into that lead with his positive approach and endorsements. In a three-way race, the winner will be the one who gets his/her voters to the polls. This is the Super Bowl for Mary, Reagan Republicans & ReclaimCDA. Lose, and they’re done. They’re extremely motivated. Are you contacting people to tell them to vote in this race?
