2 Charged In CdA Drive-by Shooting
Two Athol men — Tyler R. Yonce, 44, and David D. Carter, 24 — have been arrested and charged with allegedly being involved in a late-night drive-by shooting in Coeur d’Alene on Sunday, Sept. 22. The incident occurred in the 3000 block of N2nd Street. According to a Coeur d’Alene police news release, detectives served a search warrant on Yonce’s residence at 29989 N. Red Fish St., Athol, early this morning. They retried firearms and ammunition from the home. Carter was arrested at his home at 8255 E. Apache Trail Road, Athol. Both were booked into jail on a felony charge of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling. Detectives are still sorting out motives. The intended victim wasn’t at home at the time of the drive-by shooting.
