Dave Chamberlain provides his observations re: the candidates’ forum at the Iron Horse at noon today, including this interesting observation:

If you looked at the crowd gathered in the Iron Horse Dance Hall, the age difference was striking. Up by the speakers were the geriatric portion of the local Democratics. I saw no Cell phones or electronics.. they just listened. Now towards the back were the younger politico’s … Widmyer, a contingent of firefighters, and just flat out younger crowd. The difference is I saw a lot of those in the back doing texting. Mainly business things I have a feeling. And THAT is the problem in the democrats. the younger’s stay in the fringes, and the older Coeur d’Alenians, dominate the front of the group. That will change with time.
