Dave Chamberlain provides his observations re: the candidates’ forum at the Iron Horse at noon today, including this interesting observation:
If you looked at the crowd gathered in the Iron Horse Dance Hall, the age difference was
striking. Up by the speakers were the geriatric portion of the local Democratics. I saw no Cell phones or electronics.. they just listened. Now towards the back were the younger politico’s … Widmyer, a contingent of firefighters, and just flat out younger crowd. The difference is I saw a lot of those in the back doing texting. Mainly business things I have a feeling. And THAT is the problem in the democrats. the younger’s stay in the fringes, and the older Coeur d’Alenians, dominate the front of the group. That will change with time. It was weird not seeing Bliss tho. You can read his entire text here.
