Poll: Call Downtowners ‘Visionaries’

• Weekend Poll: Supporters and candidates of a Reagan Republican ticket for Coeur d’Alene city office this fall have been using the mantras, “entrenched power elite” and “downtown power elite” to describe individuals who have helped revitalize the central business district. When asked what name best characterizes these downtown individuals, Hucks Nation responded: “visionaries.” 79 of 121 respondents (65.29%) chose “visionaries.” 15 of 121 (12.4%) selected “Entrenched Power Elite,” and 14 of 121 (11.57%) picked “Downtown Power Elite.” 9 (7.44%) chose “other.” 4 (3.31%) were undecided.
