Fred Beaulac a special leader

I am recently retired. It was my good fortune and privilege to work with Fred Beaulac, who is running for Spokane Valley City Council Position 7.

Beaulac is the operations manager for a locally based transportation company, a position that requires constant on-your-feet decision-making. Beaulac’s style of management is, unfortunately, somewhat unique in my experience. Self-preservation, self-promotion or path-of-least-resistance are not elements of his problem-solving. He simply identifies a problem with regard for the people involved, and comes to a decision that moves things forward in a positive direction.

Many of us from the workplace know what a rare ability this is. These skills combined with an openness for change and improvement make him a real asset. Beaulac is a former member of the city’s planning commission; something he did for nothing more than a sense of civic duty. This gives him a true big-picture view of many of the issues both current and imminent facing our young city.

We would be wise to take this opportunity to put his abilities and values to our service.
