Thieves Target CdA Garages

On its Facebook page, Coeur d’Alene police report: ” (During) the Labor Day weekend, we received six different reports of garage burglaries. One occurred in the 1200 blk of Steiner Ave. In that case the man door to the garage was kicked open and personal items were taken. In another report in the 1700 blk of 9th St. the victim accidentally left the garage door open all night and bicycles were stolen. In the 700 blk of Linden Ave at an apartment complex 4 units had their garage doors pried open, and tools and tires were taken. September is a good month to start a Neighborhood Watch group and help keep your neighborhood crime free. Please call 769-2363 if you are interested in hearing about our program.”
