Mary Speaks To Republican Women
At the Republican Women’s luncheon today, speaker Mary Souza made following statements re: her campaign for mayor (according to Duane Rasmussen):
- “This is absolutely a nonpartisan election.”
- “I am the only woman (running for mayor)”
- Some of the department heads are paid more than those of other cities (paraphrase).
- “Possibly a branch library out in the neighborhoods … It would be a public vote.”
- “We need to put public safety at the top.”
- She called for respectful behavior at City Council meetings. he city needs a Mom who says: “No, you can’t use those words.”
- “We will create a job friendly city.”
- “It opens things up for a better chance for a conservative to get elected (responding to question of whether Jim Brannon will endorse her candidacy now that he has dropped out of the race).”
Question: Do you expect Jim Brannon to endorse Mary?
