Canceled On Account Of … Cougar?

Announcement on Facebook wall of St. Maries Gazette Record:

“All Greater St. Maries Youth Soccer games scheduled for tonight have been cancelled after reports of a cougar sighting in the vicinity of St. Maries city park. At least two reports of a cougar sighting were reported to local law enforcement and Fish and Game officials; one at 10 a.m. at the elementary school bus garage and the second at the BMX track an hour later. No word yet if GSMYSA games and other activities will be held as usual tomorrow, but we will update you if there are any changes.”

Question: Bet you’ve never heard this reason given for cancellation of a sporting event …
