Fly fishing films Friday at the Bing

FISHING – The International Fly Fishing Film Festival is coming to Spokane on Friday, April 4, to celebrate the beginning of another fishing season and as a fundraiser for the Spokane Falls Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

The films will screen at 7 p.m. at the Bing Crosby Theater.

This festival has a completely different lineup of films as compared with the Fly Fishing Film Festival that came to Spokane in February, says Sean Visintainer of Silver Bow Fly Shop , which is cosponsoring the event.

A short segment on fly-fishing philosophy featuring British Columbia guide April Vokey is getting rave reviews.

See trailers from four of the featured films:

Proceeds from a silent auction before the films will help fund TU projects on the Spokane River, such as redband trout migration studies and boat access on the upper river.

Tickets: $15 at Silver Bow Fly Shop , 924-9998, or online, flyfilmfest.com/IF4 .
