208: We Have Failed Our Veterans

TwoZeroEight (RE: Another shooting at Fort Hood Army base ): Sad to see so much commentary on this being a gun control issue and not focusing on the larger issue of our nation’s utter failure to properly care for active duty and veterans. Its estimated some 22 veterans take their own life each day.

DFO: TwoZeroEight brings up a terrific point. My niece returned last year from her 2nd tour of duty — one in Iraq, one in Afghanistan — last year. She hasn’t seemed like her old self since. I wonder how many other veterans are like her. Thoughts?
