Good news for our waterfront Shire. Most of the Dike Road trees have been preserved from buzz saws, thanks to the Army Corps of Engineers seeing the light re: its original clear-cut order to preserve levee integrity from flooding. And the Coeur d’Alene City Council got it by voting 4-1 to preserve the historic nature of the Fortgrounds area from multifamily housing. We live in a swell town, one of the best in this country.
