Regan Questions Herzog Qualifications

In response to the Coeur d’Alene Press article (RE: Commission candidate Herzog files for bankruptcy ), Brent Regan comments on the Press Online: Mr. Herzog; You have applied for the position of County Commissioner, a job that requires a long list of skills including budget management, integrity, honesty and sound judgment. You claim to have the assets to cover you debts yet you did not take steps to liquidate them in a timely fashion to avoid bankruptcy. You knew this fact would have a negative impact on your candidacy and yet you failed to disclose it. You admit to having poor judgment with respect to due diligence. You have demonstrated that you will breach a contract, and your word, to protect your assets. What is most stunning is that you apparently still believe you deserve the public trust and are qualified to run a $70+M enterprise that is Kootenai County.”
