DeePee (RE: SR changing comments system ): Personally, I’m not comfortable with the whole anonymity business on blogs either; people should own their points of view. But that’s the new normal. It’s just a lot easier to trash a hashtag than it is a real person. We don’t have faces and names anymore, just made-up identities. Good blogs like HBO need diligent moderators, which DF is. But I know when I get trashed here I’d like to know who it is — not so I can firebomb their house but so maybe a civil discussion might ensue to mutual enlightenment. But dem were the good ol’ days.
