JeanC: Goodbye, Mrs. Doubtfire
JeanC
(RE:
Robin Williams dead at 63
): I remember participating in a March of Dimes walkathon when I lived in Fairfield CA. The halfway
point was a school track/football field in Vacaville. We beat feet and boogied and got there in in time to see the special guest arrive by helicopter. It was Robin Williams and it was during his first year as Mork from Ork. The marks from the chain link fence I was up against and pressed into by the crowd of people behind me didn’t go away for days, but it was a wonderful time, he had the crowd laughing and cheering and we were so amped up, made it back to Fairfield with energy to spare.I can’t watch any of his comedy specials unless I have my inhaler on stand by. I will guarantee to stop breathing as he has me laughing so much. I love Ms Doubtfire and was wonderfully surprised when he took on and nailed dramatic roles. He will be missed.

DFO: I feel like curling up on the sofa & watching a Robin Williams marathon this weekend, starting with his voice-over for the Genie in “Aladdin.” How about you?
