An internal investigation into the July 9 officer-involved shooting of a dog is close to completion, authorities said Tuesday. Arfee, a 2-year-old black Labrador, was shot by a Coeur d’Alene Police Department officer in the parking lot of Java on Sherman. At the time of the incident, the dog was inside its owner’s van. The window was rolled partially down. Sgt. Christie Wood said the department hopes to have the internal investigation completed very soon. The next step in the process, according to Wood, is a shooting review board/ Coeur d’Alene Press . More here.
