Stratton a good choice for council

Congratulations to Karen Stratton on becoming a member of the Spokane City Council, and to the current members for excellent judgment in their choice.

I had the pleasure of being acquainted with Stratton in 1986-1991, when she was a master’s program coordinator during the earliest days of Washington State University-Spokane. Even in her 20s, she was remarkably capable and accomplished, and I am confident that her skills and knowledge have only increased since then. I believe that she will quickly become a valuable and valued member of the council.
