Spokane Thief Steals Red Kettle

Holiday cheer may have been lacking in a Spokane thief who stole a Salvation Army kettle from a bell-ringer Saturday. Randy Neely, a Salvation Army volunteer, said he was collecting donations at the Rosauer’s at 2600 East 20th St. around 4 p.m. when a man came up to him and asked if he’d ever been robbed. A short time later, another man came up to Neely acting as if he was going to donate, but instead unhooked the kettle and ran off.
