Sad for Ferguson

Today, I’m just sad in so many ways. I’m sad for the 18-year-old who, on that day, turned from the gentle giant his parents knew to an angry thug. Sad for the parents who lost the gentle giant they knew. Sad for the business owners who provided support for that community by investing their lives, life savings and dreams in what are now charred, smoldering wrecks. Sad for those people who lack the morals to prevent them from perpetrating the theft, arson and violence we saw in Ferguson. Sad for a tarnished America. We will survive this, but the scars may never heal.
