UI To Grant Chalich Release
The University of Idaho
plans to grant quarterback Chad Chalich his release from the program,
Athletic Director Rob Spear confirmed to
the Tribune Wednesday. The redshirt sophomore has been granted permission to
contact Montana,
Sacramento State and Idaho State,
Spear said.
“This is the first step in the process,
” Spear wrote in an email. Chalich hasn’t officially been
granted his release,
“but we will grant him a release,
” Spear wrote. Chalich,
a native of Coeur d’Alene and former Idaho Class 5A State champion at
Coeur d’Alene High,
started in seven games for the Vandals in 2013 before a shoulder injury
sidelined him for the remainder of the season/

Question: Seems like only yesterday that UI football coach Paul Petrino was denying any truth to rumor that Chalich was leaving Vandal program. Thoughts?
