Some major college football awards were handed out yesterday and the Pac-12 brought in a pretty good haul.
Arizona linebacker Scooby Wright III won the
Chuck Bednarik Award
, given to the best defensive player in the country, while Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota will have a
full trophy shelf
after winning the Walter Camp, Davey O’Brien and Maxwell Awards. The conference can also claim the
nation’s best punter
after Tom Hackett won the Ray Guy Award.
