Regarding Bob Wynhausen’s letter to the editor on Dec. 7: It is not my intention to cast aspersions on anyone’s orientation; however, some statements are so obviously false that they must be challenged.

In Wynhausen’s letter, he states “one thing you won’t find in the New Testament is any reference to homosexuals.” Anyone who had read said New Testament knows that this is not true. References to homosexuality/sodomy are numerous in the New Testament. Check out Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Jude 1:7-8, 1 Timothy 1:9-10, just to name a few.

This is a very easy thing to Web search, and this would be a good idea for anyone thinking of making such a blanket statement. I think we should all search for accuracy and avoid spreading misinformation, regardless of our stand on any given issue.
