Rebecca Rucker had been living in California when she lost her job, lost unemployment benefits and found her life filled with “unacceptable” people. “I was at ground zero and life was crumbling,” Rucker said. She learned that no one is safe from homelessness. It’s a growing issue in Idaho, but one that is often overlooked because of the invisibility of those who are homeless. But one night every year, service providers and shelters nationwide go out into communities in an attempt to give a face to the homeless, and ideally secure more federal grant money to help them/ Chelsea Embree , Lewiston Tribune.
