Fed Lands: Big Risk, Low Return

Opinion Editor Marty Trillhaase/Lewiston Tribune weighs in on the silly notion held by too many Idaho legislators, including Reps. Vito Barbieri, R-Dalton Gardens, and Eric Redman, R-Athol, that Idaho can manage public lands better than the feds. Two studies, including one from the University of Idaho, say that Idaho risked losing $111M to $400M per year if it could circumvent federal law to take over the lands.
